About Jaya: 

Jaya Kanal, CMA is a Washington, DC-based figure skating coach. A member of US Figure Skating and a rated member of the Professional Skaters Association, she applies Laban Movement Analysis and Bartenieff Fundamentals, as well as training in ballet and modern dance to her teaching. Jaya especially enjoys helping skaters to develop a strong technical foundation and discover their unique presence on the ice.
